Chapter two video - Gleeson Land
Gleeson Land has a team of highly skilled planning, technical and land specialists who identify development opportunities and work with landowners to promote their land through the complex planning system. With a healthy, growing land portfolio and the ability to deliver 23,000 much needed homes, Gleeson Strategic Homes is driving growth for Gleeson whilst also ensuring the UK has homes to meet demand. Gleeson Homes mission is changing lives by building affordable quality homes - where they are needed, for the people who need them the most. We craft two, three and four bedroom homes with an average sale price of £140k – two bed homes starting from just over £95,000. Getting young people on low and average incomes out of the rent trap. To keep our quality homes affordable, over 60% of our sites are built on brownfield land, typically in regeneration areas, transforming unused land into desirable places to live. We improve the communities in which we operate by making access to home ownership affordable, by using local labour and creating jobs for local people. We are proud to build traditional, brick 2, 2 and 4 bedroom homes, with prices starting from just £90,000 and an average price of £130,000 for a three bedroom home.
With a customer recommendation score of 90% and regular inspections taking place throughout the build process, our homes are not only affordable, but they are 5 Star quality too.

Chapter seven video - Our Controlled Growth
The fastest growing housebuilder on the London Stock Exchange, Gleeson has grown tenfold over the last ten years. Meeting the demand for low cost, affordable homes, at Gleeson, we’re determined to ensure that the housing market better serves young, first time buyers and low-income families.
With 200,000 new households forming per year, we are well placed to continue our growth, and are on our way to our target of building 2,000 homes per year by 2022 and launching 25-30 new developments per year. Hear our Chief Financial Officer Stefan Allanson explain our success and growth plans.

Our people are our greatest asset and we are committed to recruiting and retaining talented, passionate people and supporting them to progress and grow in their roles.
We are proud to be in the top quartile for employee engagement and to be accredited by Investors in People.
We are committed to investing in skills and training, with over 60 apprentices among our 650 strong workforce. With regards to our subcontractors and suppliers, we support businesses local to our developments by hiring local tradespeople based within the areas in which we build.

We are on track to be building 2,000 much needed affordable homes a year by 2022 and more beyond that. Gleeson Strategic Land will also support our growth, delivering much-needed consented land for new homes in the South of England.
